Introducing STaBLE Flo
Ensures steady fluid pressure for surgeries requiring distension.
Staff-friendly
Eliminates the need for a Nurse to squeeze the pressure bulb at any point.
Affordable
Thousands of dollars less than other fluid management systems.
Convenient
Simply insert battery and STaBLE Flo will maintain the preset pressure.
Created by surgeons for surgeons.
STaBLE Flo was developed by Keith Isaacson, MD, Charles Miller, MD and Craig Traub. Together, they have more than 120 years of experience in minimally invasive gynecologic and urologic surgery. A conversation over dinner led to the creation of STaBLE Flo, born out of their shared goals to increase surgical efficiency, reduce operating costs and improve patient safety.
A more affordable and convenient way to maintain steady fluid pressure.
Until now, there have been only two options for maintaining the fluid pressure required for cavity distension and optimal visualization with a hysteroscope or cystoscope:
- Option One: Use hundreds of dollars per tubing set using a large and expensive fluid management machine.
- Option Two: Utilize a manual squeeze bulb throughout the entire procedure asking the assistant to maintain approximate pressure.
STaBLE Flo combines a reusable shell with 10 disposable power cartridges.
Each battery is factory programmed to a specific Pressure setpoint.
- Each battery will be fully charged and ready to be used- no need to charge or plug into a power source.
- Can be used in most intrauterine procedures.
- Ideal for any cystoscopy in which fluid monitoring is not a priority.
- STaBLE Flo’s portability also makes it ideal for ambulances and in military environments.
User-friendly and convenient.
- Connects to the pressure bag with a simple twist of the Luer lock fitting.
- Optional 3 position switch allows the user to select between 3 specific pressure setpoints: L, M, H.
- Green indicates when the pressure has been met.
- No need to manually compress the fluid bag or continuously squeeze a pressure bulb.
How STaBLE Flo Works
Follow these instructions for use:
Getting Started
- Insert the Fluid bag into Infuser cuff.
- Turn the valve handle on the 3 way valve to “close vent” (horizontal toward the vent port)
- Insert battery and press power button to start inflation
- The Stable will start to inflate the bag. As soon as the pressure is achieved the pump will stop inflating and only cycle on when needed to maintain preset pressure.
- If the Stable is glowing green pressure is STABLE.
During Use
- As fluid exits the IV bag, STaBLE Flo will register pressure drops of 5mmHg. When pressure drops occur, the device briefly recommences insufflation until the pre-programmed pressure is obtained. This continues until the fluid bag is emptied.
- Should the procedure require additional fluid, simply press the circular button to turn off STaBLE Flo and turn the 3-way valve to Vent to deflate the pressure cuff allowing for fluid bag replacement.
Post Procedure
- Once the procedure is complete—turn off with the press of the power button. Turn the valve away from the vent to release pressure and remove the Fluid bag. If cartridge has no remaining cycles—discard the power cartridge and replace.
